The HD Ready logo refers to the particular TV that meets the specifications of the EICTA (European Digital Industry Association). It can display high definition signals with the minimum requirements described by a physical resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, native 16:9 resolution, an analogue YUV component input and an HDCP encryption enabled digital input like HDMI. There is a variety of content and formats available such as Blu-ray discs and HDTV broadcasts that exceeds the high definition resolution. In order to watch such content in its full native quality a Full HD TV is needed.
